Paul Lisiak is the Managing Partner and Founder of Metropolitan Partners Group. He oversees all of the Firm’s investment activities, operations, fundraising, investor relations, and strategic growth initiatives. In 1996, Paul began his career at Lazard Asset Management LLC as a member of the Global High Yield team that was a regular higher performer amongst Lipper-rated managers. He then served as the Managing Director of Metropolitan Venture Partners, LLC (“MetVP”) from November 1999 to December 2005. At MetVP, Paul was responsible for deal origination and deal execution across the firm’s offices in New York and London while investing two funds anchored by the Man Group PLC. He occupied board seats for multiple investments made by MetVP and acted as an interim C-level operating executive to build infrastructure and operational discipline for three portfolio companies. Further, he has played an integral role with a number of companies in the development of liquidity opportunities and preparation for incremental institutional investment. From September 2005 through October 2007, he led strategy and built the financial sponsor group at Ledgemont Capital Group. Paul has been the Managing Partner of Metropolitan since 2008 when the Firm was launched. Paul has been a direct investor in over 80 private companies over the past 20 years.
Paul graduated with a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and was an English Speaking Union Fellow. He is currently a board member of Paybox Corp (PBOX), New Credit America, Next Level Finance Partners, and is a board observer for Bizfi.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Eric Chasser is the Chief Financial Officer of MetPG. He oversees the accounting, tax, finance, and fund operations of the Firm and assists in the structuring of Metropolitan’s investments. Prior to joining Metropolitan in 2010, Eric has held C-level positions at companies across a broad spectrum of sectors and sizes ranging from a small environmental security company to a large publicly-traded telecom company. In addition to his experience as an operating company executive, Eric held portfolio management, fundraising and compliance roles in several private alternative asset management firms.
Eric graduated with a BS in Applied Economics and an MBA in Finance from Cornell University and also holds a Master’s degree in International Economic Policy from Columbia University.
Richard Lin is a Vice President of MetPG. His responsibilities include sourcing, evaluating, and executing Firm investments. Prior to joining Metropolitan in 2013, Richard was an investment banker at Bank of America, where he executed a number of advisory and corporate finance assignments for companies in the media and telecommunications sector. After Bank of America, Richard was an investment professional at Black Diamond Capital Management and GSC Group in each firm’s private equity/control distressed debt practices. Richard was responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing control-oriented distressed investments, overseeing in and out-of-court restructurings for current and prospective investments, and general portfolio management responsibilities with existing portfolio companies and controlled entities.
Richard graduated Cum Laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in Finance and Accounting. Outside of his role at Metropolitan, Richard is currently an advisor to US Space, an early stage satellite services firm, and was a former board member of Neucel Specialty Cellulose.
Miles Peet is a Vice President of MetPG. His responsibilities include asset management and investor relations. Prior to joining Metropolitan in 2011, Miles spent three years as a Senior Analyst at Dynasty Investments, a family office-backed investment firm focused on private equity and real estate development in South East Asia. Miles worked at the firm's headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, conducting financial analysis predominantly on hospitality operating businesses in Vietnam and Thailand. Miles is currently a board member of Metropolitan Partners Group Management and a board observer of Creditmax.
Miles graduated from Tufts University in 2008 with a B.A. in Economics.
Kevin O’Block is a Senior Associate of MetPG. His responsibilities include Risk Management and Firm Operations building upon its strong foundation and identifying further efficiencies to support its growth. Prior to joining Metropolitan in 2013, Kevin worked for McKinsey & Co. performing sales and performance analysis out of their Boston office.
Kevin holds a B.A in English with a minor in Economics from Boston College where he graduated in 2013.
Bob Simeone is the Controller of MetPG. His responsibilities include working with Eric on accounting, tax, finance, and fund operations. Prior to joining Metropolitan in 2016, Bob was a Senior Vice President and Controller for Neuberger Berman Alternative Investment Management Group in charge of the fund accounting group working on fund of fund investments. Previously, he was a founding member and First Vice President of CACEIS (USA) Inc. (formerly Olympia Capital Associates, L.P.), a third party Fund Administrator.
Bob graduated with a BA from Queens College (CUNY) and holds licenses as a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Planner.
Joe Borrelli is an Associate of MetPG. His responsibilities include deal execution and portfolio monitoring. Prior to joining Metropolitan in 2016, Joe worked at GCA Savvian, an independent global investment bank, where he advised clients on mergers and acquisitions as well as capital raising engagements in both the digital media and financial technology sectors. Before GCA, Joe worked at Shot Tower Capital, a boutique investment bank on the investment banking team.
Joe received his BA and MBA from Johns Hopkins University.
John Linton is an Associate of MetPG. His responsibilities include deal execution and portfolio monitoring. Prior to joining Metropolitan in 2016, John worked at Metropolitan Merchant Capital focusing on investments into the small business finance industry. Previously John worked at Shuraako, an impact investing group, where he originated investments into small and medium sized enterprises in East Africa. Prior to that, John worked in commercial banking at FirstBank. John received his BS from the University of Colorado with a concentration in finance and a MBA from Johns Hopkins University.
