JD Sheldon

Principal

JD Sheldon is a Principal at Metropolitan. His responsibilities include sourcing, evaluating, and executing firm investments along with asset management with a specific focus in the consumer debt finance vertical. Prior to joining Metropolitan in 2019, he was CFO at CreditMax, a specialized lender to debt buyers, where he oversaw the funding of over $400 million across more than 1,500 transactions with less than 2% principal loan loss. Prior to CreditMax, JD held multiple roles for one of the country’s largest debt purchasers, Equable Ascent Financial. He graduated with a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Augustana College and also holds a M.A. in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Anthony Siragusa

Vice President

Anthony Siragusa is a Vice President at Metropolitan Partners Group Management. His responsibilities include the management, evaluation, and workout of investments. Prior to joining Metropolitan, Anthony was a Senior Analyst with LBC Credit Partners where he focused on portfolio management and analytics of private credit investments. Previously, Anthony was an Analyst at JPMorgan Chase in the Middle Market Banking group. Anthony received a B.A. in Finance from the Villanova School of Business.

Alex Verba

Alex Verba

Principal

Alex Verba is a Principal in Metropolitan’s Asset Management team where his responsibilities include the management, evaluation, and workout of investments. Prior to joining Metropolitan, Alex was the Senior Vice President at A&J Capital, where he successfully structured, invested, and managed a portfolio of $400 million in real estate assets. Alex worked on multiple debtor and credit side turnaround engagements at Alix Partners, and his professional history spans direct investing in high yield, leveraged loans, and distressed assets at TIAA-CREF and CIT. Alex graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Cornell University, holds an M.A. in International Studies from the Lauder School of University of Pennsylvania, and received his M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School.
