Senior Fund Accountant
Tara Battaglia is a Senior Fund Accountant at Metropolitan. She has over 15 years of accounting and cash management experience. Prior to joining Metropolitan, Tara held various accounting roles across several sectors, including Gas & Oil. Tara holds a B.S. in Accounting from South Hills School of Business & Technology.
Senior Operations Associate
Sean Browne is a Senior Operations Associate of Metropolitan. His responsibilities include investment operations, reporting and loan agency. Prior to joining Metropolitan in 2022, Sean worked at Prudential Financial, Inc. as an Investment Operations Specialist on the Fixed Income Public Operations team. There he worked on processing trades and payments on debt products, as well as custody reconciliation. Sean graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from The College of New Jersey School of Business.
Vice President, Investor Relations
Scarly Almonte is a Vice President at Metropolitan. In this capacity, she is responsible for managing investor communications and relationships, as well as capital raising. Scarly joins Metropolitan from Figure Technologies Inc., where she was responsible for managing and expanding relationships with investors and strategic partners. Previously, Scarly worked on the capital raising team at Monomoy Capital Partners and supported the Investor Relations function at WL Ross & Co, a wholly owned subsidiary of Invesco. Scarly began her career as an Associate at Three Bridges Capital, a hedge fund originally part of Indus Capital Partners. Scarly graduated from Baruch College with a B.A. in Finance.
Assistant Controller
Kris Suthivong is an Assistant Controller at Metropolitan. He has over 15 years of accounting and financial reporting experience in the private equity industry, both at the Fund and Fund administrative services level. Prior to joining Metropolitan, Kris was an Assistant Controller for Pine Brook Road Partners, LLC and Addition LLC, as well as a Manager in fund administrative services at Gen2 Fund Services, LLC and SS&C GlobeOp. Kris has performed accounting, reporting and fund administrative services for various funds with over $10 billion AUM. Kris holds a B.S. in Accounting from St John’s University.
Vice President, Reporting
Jason Bircann is Vice President of Reporting at Metropolitan. Prior to joining Metropolitan in 2021, Jason was a Senior Performance Reporting Manager at H.I.G. Capital LLC, where he managed investor and management reporting for the Credit platform. Prior to H.I.G., Jason worked for Sculptor Capital Management, Inc. and J.P. Morgan Hedge Fund Services where he focused on CLO compliance, credit operations and business process outsourcing. Jason graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University and is a CFA® charter holder.
Managing Director
Richard Lin is a Managing Director at Metropolitan Partners Group Management having joined in 2013. Richard’s investment responsibilities include sourcing, evaluating and executing deals within Metropolitan’s investment strategy. SourcePass and Upstack are Richards’ notable deals. Prior to joining Metropolitan in 2013, Richard was an investment professional at Black Diamond Capital Management and GSC Group in their special situation private equity practice. Prior to that, Richard was an investment banker at Bank of America. Richard graduated cum laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in Finance and Accounting.
Principal
Max Segal is a Principal at Metropolitan. His responsibilities include deal execution and portfolio analytics. Prior to joining Metropolitan in 2019, Max was an Investment Banking Analyst at Pursuit Advisory, a TMT-focused merchant bank where he advised clients on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and debt and equity financings. Previously, Max was an Equity Research Analyst at Nomura. Max received a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from the NYU Stern School of Business.
Principal
Kevin O’Block is a Principal at Metropolitan. Since joining in 2013, Kevin has worked on the Deal Team, Asset Management Team, and Operations. His current responsibilities include management and the creation of new processes and efficiency improvements for the Deal Team. Prior to joining Metropolitan in 2013, Kevin worked for McKinsey & Co. performing sales and performance analysis out of the company’s Boston office. He received a B.A. in English with a minor in Economics from Boston College.
Principal
JD Sheldon is a Principal at Metropolitan. His responsibilities include sourcing, evaluating, and executing firm investments along with asset management with a specific focus in the consumer debt finance vertical. Prior to joining Metropolitan in 2019, he was CFO at CreditMax, a specialized lender to debt buyers, where he oversaw the funding of over $400 million across more than 1,500 transactions with less than 2% principal loan loss. Prior to CreditMax, JD held multiple roles for one of the country’s largest debt purchasers, Equable Ascent Financial. He graduated with a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Augustana College and also holds a M.A. in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
Vice President
Anthony Siragusa is a Vice President at Metropolitan Partners Group Management. His responsibilities include the management, evaluation, and workout of investments. Prior to joining Metropolitan, Anthony was a Senior Analyst with LBC Credit Partners where he focused on portfolio management and analytics of private credit investments. Previously, Anthony was an Analyst at JPMorgan Chase in the Middle Market Banking group. Anthony received a B.A. in Finance from the Villanova School of Business.
